Abstract:
The lingonberry (Vaccinium vitisidaea L.) is a woody, evergreen dwarf shrub distributed worldwide in north ern temperate, boreal and subarctic areas. The fruit is an important berry crop, harvested mostly from the wild in Russia, Scandinavia, the Baltic coun tries, Poland and to a lesser extent in Japan, Germany, Canada and Alaska (10, 13, 16, 18).
