Title: CO2 LEvel inside the Composts and Fructification of Agaricus bisporus
Authors: Hsi-Hua Wang, Ching-Ming Chiou, Din-Pow Ma, Mao-Chung Ling and Shih-Yow Huang

Abstract:

Accumulated evidences have shown that the fructification of commercial cultivated mushroom, Agaricus bisporus, requirted low PCO2 while high PCO2 is not in good agreement with good frucitification of the mushroom (Kinrus, 1968; Lambert, 1933; Long, and Jacob, 1968; Rasmussen, 1962; Thomas, 1972; Tschierpe and Sinden, 1964). Therefore, the writers have measured PCO2 inside the compost in cultivation beds of the mushroom with the use of membrane-covered glass electrode (Huang et al., 1974).
