Title: Quality Control of Rice-Straw Composting for Mushroom Cultivation

Abstract:

The present report is to summarize the work on the rice-straw composting which has been done in National Taiwan University in the past four years. Two kinds of composting process, namely 25-day and 15-day, were included in the present studies. Both two kinds of compost were merely prepared with rice-straw and chemical fertilizers. The decomposition of rice-straw and the proper time to terminate composting were determined by cytological, biochemical and physical studies.
