Title: Nematodes as Biological Control Agents, Their Possible Application in Controlling Insect Pests of Mushroom Crops
Author: K.E. Hudson

Abstract:

The term 'biological control' can be defined as the use of living organisms to control other living organisms This can involve the use of predators or parasites, particularly in insect control, and the breeding of crops resistant to attack by insects and disease It can also involve manipulation of the environmental conditions to favour the predator or parasite over the pest. In its widest sense the definition of biological control can be expanded to include integrated control where chemicals and living organisms can be used successfully in conjunction to control pests.
