Abstract: In previous experiments the highest yields of mushrooms were obtained by adding per ton of manure 25 kg cottonseed meal, 12 kg (NH4)2SO4 and 35 kg CaCO3. But as a ton of manure is a variable unit, the amounts should be calculated on a dry matter base. The influence was tested of adding superphosphate and gypsum to the enriched manure. Small amounts decreased yield slightly, larger amounts considerably reduced it. Urea and Nitroform cannot replace (NH4)2SO4, they reduced yield markedly.
