Year 1967
Title: General Notes on Mushroom Growing in Bulgaria
Author: T. Rantcheva

Abstract:

Mushroom growing is a new branch of Bulgarian agriculture, developed under Hungarian influence. During the last 20 years it has been encouraged by the Government. Methods of growing are still primitive, but some projects have lately been set up for modernizing this branch. The Central Co-operative Union, and especially its 'Gabarstvo Concern' is engaged in mushroom growing and the purchase of wild and cultivated mushrooms from the gatherers and growers. There are annual courses for mushroom growers and mushroom gatherers and a special handbook has been published on these topics.
