Title: Preliminary Study on Mushroom Yield as Affected By the Type of Mushroom House and the Amount of Compost

Abstract:

Five types of mushroom houses were compared over a number of years. Though rather important differences in yield occurred, they are still insufficient to give a general conclusion. It is obvious, however, that ventilation and insulation play an important part.

As to the thickness of the layer of synthetic compost, it is concluded that 18–24 cm is appropriate Horse manure is never used in Taiwan.
