Volume 6 Part 1 Article 31
Year 1967
Title: Air Conditions in Commercial Mushroom Growing
Author: R.L. Edwards

Abstract:

No relation was established between daily records of temperature and humidity taken out of doors and in mushroom cropping houses, and the yield or quality of mushrooms produced. There seemed to be a relation between frequent watering and higher yield and better quality, particularly during the colder part of the year. The effect of a heating system relying on heating ingoing air is examined, with particular reference to the provision and losses of heat and moisture. Some implications of air conditioning are discussed.
