Title: Study on the Preparation of Synthetic Compost for Mushroom Growing in Taiwan

Abstract:

In Taiwan synthetic compost is generally considered to be more hygienic than ordinary horse dung, so that synthetic materials are the sole culture media used. The average annual yield with the traditional methods of production is usually below or near 1 lb./sq.ft, which means that an improved composting technique must be found which is especially adopted to Taiwan conditions.
