Abstract: In my previous reports (2, 3) 1 have reviewed the development up to 1955 of the Hungarian mushroom growing, spawn making, research and experimental work. Our projects and perspective schemes were also recorded in my papers. This obliges me to give an account of the works carried out in the period elapsed since the 3rd I.C.M.S. The events of October 1956 were prejudicial also to mushroom growing. Considerable money, organization and work were required to make good the damage suffered. This implied that part of our plans could not be realized or was only partly completed.
