Since mushroom research was started in Denmark at the Agricultural College in Copenhagen in 1952, the work has primarily been devoted to practical cropping experiments.

In 1953-54 a twice repeated experiment (1 and 2), summer and winter respectively, was carried out with the mam purpose of investigating the yielding capacity of long racing stable manure, pure or supplemented with the following inorganic materials.
