Abstract: Agaricus bisporus (Lange) Imbach, the most commonly cultivated mushroom worldwide, can be infected by Mycogone perniciosa (Magnus) Delacroix (Fig.1), the fungal pathogen causing wet bubble disease. This contagious disease, known since 1888, results in malformed mushrooms (Fig.2), crop loss and subsequent economic losses.
