Abstract: The Netherlands Long-Term Energy Agreement for mushrooms (MJA-e) between the Dutch mushroom industry and the Dutch Government has resulted in the development of new, energy-efficient climate controls. This enables energy savings of up to 15%, and has led, in addition, to a more stable room climate, which has a very positive effect on the quality and shelf life of mushrooms. This paper describes the new control systems.
