Abstract: The Australian mushroom industry has access to three registered fungicides to use against fungal diseases. The active ingredients of these products are prochloraz-Mn, carbendazim and thiabendazole. This study was undertaken to determine, under laboratory conditions, the fungicide susceptibility to fungicides of selected isolates of Verticillium, Cladobotryum and Trichoderma species. Concentrations tested were 0.2 and 20 ppm. Agar plugs of isolates were put on potato–dextrose–agar plates and incubated at 23°C. Growth measurements were taken after nominated intervals. These baseline results of the laboratory screening will be used to monitor changes in fungicide sensitivity in the pathogen population and to change recommendations on fungicide selection if and when necessary.
