Title: RNA display for identification of differentially expressed mRNA species associated with post-harvest quality of Agaricus bisporus

Abstract:

RNA differential display has been used to identify the changes in mRNA between fresh and stored mushrooms. Comparative analysis of fresh and one day stored samples of strain U3 generated between 3 and 10 fragments with each of the four primer pairs used. Three of these amplified partial cDNAs appear to be differentially expressed. Verification of their specificity by Northern analysis is in progress.
