Title: The pretest of Ganoderma lucidum in humans
Author: S. Thaithatgoon

Abstract:

The legendary value of Ganoderma lucidum in curing various diseases has been known for many years. In order to test these properties, the Arunyik Mushroom Centre, Thailand has cultivated various species of G. lucidum that were collected from the jungles in Thailand and some of those obtamed from Japan. All of the species tested show a red-brown varnished pileus with a yellowish pore surface. A pretest of G. lucidum in over 200 patients shows that it can treat the symptoms of disease e.g. rheumatism, allergies, tumours, diabetes, high/low blood pressure, heart diseases, cancers etc. Beside curing the sicknesses mentioned, G. lucidum has also been used for keeping healthy or for prevention of disease. To use G. lucidum more effectively, the intake of vitamin C and control of diet, together with some meditation in the Buddhist way, during the treatment, aids patient recovery. Using these treatments, the amount of G. lucidum needed to be used could be markedly reduced.
