Abstract: The mutual influence of thermophilic fungi: Chaetomium thermophilum, Humicola insolens, Scytalidium thermophilum, Talaromyces thermophilus, and Thermomyces lanuginosus on straw agar and compost agar media at 37, 43 and 50°C was studied. The percentage of inhibition of colony growth was defined. It was found that medium composition and temperature influence inhibition of growth of the studied species. The tendency for reduced of inhibition of C.thermophilum, T.thermophilus and T.lanuginosus under the influence of S. thermophilum and H. insolens was observed with increase in temperature from 43 to 50°C. Studies of the interaction of different species were carried out using SEM.
