Authors: J. Pardo, F. J.Gea, A. Pardo and M.J. Navarro

Abstract:

Winemaking and alcohol distilleries are important sources of various cheap materials in Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). Two of these materials, grapewine stems and grape marc (pomace) as by- products derived from these agro industries, have recently been utilized as easily available and suitable raw materials in traditional (two phases) mushroom composting. Some analytical data forf these materials are shown and an appraisal of their improvement through ten commercial composting cycles is described.
