Title: Tremella aurantialba Cultivation with Substrates of Sawdust or Agricultural Straws
Author: Y. Xiang

Abstract:

Tremella aurantialba is an ancient oriental gold-yellow fungus which is delicious to eat and its medicinal value is being developed. This paper discusses the successful cultivation of the fungus with sawdust or mixed straw substrates by means of a double layer medium and a method of changing the colour of the resulting fruit body from white to yellow. The cultivation on these substrates as an economic substitute for the special log has made possible the following commercial products 1) an extract for anti-cancer medicine, 2) a delicious food, 3) a special healthy beverage.
