Abstract: The soluble polysaccharides were taken from the broth of 33 days submerged culture of Ganoderma tsugae 1109. The results of gel chromatography and HPLC showed that there were remarked changes in the molecular weight of polysaccharide produced and no neutral oligosaccharide was found. The polysaccharide was resistant to digestive enzymes and insoluble in 74% alcohol. The polusaccharide also showed some chelating capacities with Cu by spectrophotometry and Hg by the measurement with piezoelectric quartz crystal biosensor, respectively. Therefore, it seems that the polysaccharide produced in submerged culture of Ganoderma tsugae os a soluble dietary fiber.
