Title: A composting process to minimise odour pollution
Authors: N.G. Nair and G. Price

Abstract:

A new composting process called Accelerated Assisted Compost (AAC) has been developed with the aim of minimising odour pollution. The characteristic feature of the AAC is the addition of a specially formulated accelerator called PRITAN which encourages molecular changes in the basic materials and facilitates rapid fermentation. Other features of AAC process are reduced loss of dry matter during composting, enhanced process control, reduced labour input and turnaround time, less odour emission and acceptable mushroom yield.
