Abstract: This paper discusses a method which turns powdery substrates into a granular structure The granular structure medium can be used as an economic substitute for the traditional cereal grain in spawn manufacture The paper also discusses a valuable and effective practice which develops further the granular structure into the medium for the preservation of mushroom strains When the medium is combined with two specific techniques, the method of preservation can retain the mycelial vitality and the economic properties of high-output strains for a long time.
