Title: Chemical Control of the Mushroom Sciarid, Lycoriella auripila (Winn.)
Author: P.F. White

Abstract:

The mushroom sciarid Lycoriella auripila Winn, can be a serious pest in commercial mushroom cultivation. In recent years it has developed resistance to organophosphorus insecticides and has consequently become a more serious pest. Wyatt and Binns (1977) demonstrated the efficacy of diflubenzuron in the casing in such instances but future resistance even to this novel insecticide cannot be ruled out. Therefore the experiment described below was done to test the ability of various insecticides to control this pest.
