Abstract: Investigations on composting for production of white button mushroom(Agaricus bisporus) - have recently been started in our laboratory. Work on synthetic formulation has been reported earlier (The Mushroom Journal, U.K., October 1979). In the present studies chemical composition of locally available paddy and wheat straw is presented.
