Abstract: The successfull development of mushroom growing in Taiwan has not only built us a big industry but also formed a mold of mushroom cultivation in subtropical areas. During the past few years, our researchers have scored a lot of achievements in further developing this industry. A symposium on mushroom research is held at an interval of two or three years, the latest or sixth one in 1979. This report is a summation of primary researches and cultural improvements.
