Abstract:
The influence of foliar applied Polyfeed and Multi-K (KNO3) on growth, yield and quality of Bangalore Blue grapes were carried out during summer and winter seasons of 1998 at University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore.
The salient results revealed that, out of ten treatment combinations of Polyfeed and Multi-K, the treatment with 0.2 percent of 19:19:19 NPK applied thrice at 45, 60 and 75 days after pruning recorded highest growth rate, i.e., production of maximum number of leaves, cane length, number of productive canes and leaf area during both the seasons and production of maximum number of bunches per vine and yield; however, foliar application of 0.1 percent of 19:19:19 NPK + 0.1 percent 14:10:34 NPK + 0.1 percent KNO3 at different intervals recorded the maximum inter nodal length, cane girth and highest juice content during both the seasons.
Vines receiving maximum K in spray form recorded highest total soluble solids (TSS) and total sugars (19.22 °Brix and 19.03%).
