Abstract:
Mycotoxins, fungal metabolites exhibiting toxic effects in higher organisms, are produced by over 100 fungal species. Approximately 25% of the world’s food crops are affected each year by mycotoxins. Therefore, mycotoxins-contaminated food-and feedstuff poses serious safety implications for crops, livestock, poultry, and humans worldwide and eventually on national and international economies.
