Authors:   P Navrátil, P Válová, R. Fialová, J. Špak, J. Pribylová
Keywords:   Currant, Ribes, Phytoplasma, PCR, RFLP
Abstract:
Phytoplasmas detected in red and white currant with full blossom symptoms in the Czech Republic were classified as aster yellows phytoplasma (16Sr I-B) and apple proliferation phytoplasma (16Sr X) on the basis of restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis of PCR-amplified 16S rDNA segments. A phytoplasma was successfully transmitted to dodder plants and the infection was confirmed by phytoplasma specific PCR and RFLP analysis.
