| Abstract:
The development of the walnut cultivation to the level of importance which this valuable tree species has reached, supposes the existence of a diversified assortment, well adapted to the environmental conditions of our country. This issue is very pressing in the case of the walnut tree cultivation's which disposes of a small number of varieties and still keeps its extensive character, thus needing more efforts in modernizing than this would be with other tree species. Of importance for the success in creating new sorts, especially by steered hybridization, in the existence of the germoplasm funds. | |
