Abstract:
In the experiments described in this paper, commercial fertilizers and slow-release fertilizers (Plantacote, Plantason and Azalon) were applied to tomato and melon in varying concentrations.
When the commercial and slow-release fertilizers were compared from the point of view of crop-yield and quality, Plantacote and Plantason were found to have significantly increased the yields of both crops.
At the same time the effects of urea and Azalon (38% N) on the yields of sugar melon were examined, and it appeared that Azalon significantly increased melon yield.
