ISHS Acta Horticulturae 222: Symposium on the Fertilization of Vegetables under Protected Cultivation

BROMINE AND BROMIDE IN SOILS, PARTICULARLY GLASSHOUSE SOILS

Authors:   J.P.N.L. Roorda van Eysinga, A.L. van den Bos
Abstract:
Ten soil samples were collected in the Naaldwijk area and analysed for total bromine and water-soluble bromide, the difference between the two forms being defined as "bound" Br.

It is reported that crop Br was highly correlated with water-soluble soil bromide, and was independent of "bound" Br.
